Jewish Trois Rivières is an initiative of the Montreal Torah Center’s L’Chaim Project, dedicated to providing for the spiritual, emotional and material needs of Jewish people living in the Trois Rivières area.

Grand Opening and Printing of the Tanya
Relive the sights and sounds from this memorable and historic event as we officially opened the doors of Chabad Trois-Rivières. Almost 100 guests joined us in marking the occasion by carrying out one of the Rebbe's special directives to print copies of the Tanya in every Jewish community in the world. We were joined by our local community, supporters from Montreal, as well dignitaries from every level of Government including the Mayor of Trois-Rivières, several prominent provincial politicians, and even a Federal Minister. One of the highlights was when our mentor, Rabbi New, led us in learning from the newly printed Tanyas which were literally still hot off the press.
The Rebbe empowered us to create a community and take responsibility for an entire city. All that we needed to do is believe in ourselves as the Rebbe did in every Jew. Now, after many decades, a once flourishing Jewish community has been revived and will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah together in it's own community center.
